Deborah's Dilemma: A decision-making scenario

Getting the software

SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS.  This software is written for use in Microsoft Windows operating systems. It may also work in Windows emulation programs for MacOS and Linux. See the Software Issues for current information, and let us know if it works or doesn't work in your system.

TWO VERSIONS.  The software is available in two versions, Deborah's Dilemma and Deborah's Dilemma Lite. The only difference is for four video clips which are used in the program: in the Lite version the four clips are stored on a media website in the University of London, and are downloaded from there (in the same way as YouTube) every time you request them, so they will not playback at all if you do not have an internet connection turned on. In the standard version, the videos are inside the program, hence the large size (about 28 MBytes) of this version.

DOWNLOAD the software by clicking on the image or text link:

DeborahsDilemma.zip (28.2 MBytes) DeborahsDilemmaLite.zip (2.3 MBytes)

INSTALLATION.  The program (either version) is an independent EXE file. Just open the zip file, extract the EXE and put this in any convenient location. Double click on the file to run it. To uninstall the program, simply delete the EXE file.

Using the software

The TURS project presentation at the Workshop on 23 February 2010 describes the design of the software and illustrates the different software elements (note: the button icons look different but the software functions are the same).
